Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week: Tips for Looking After Your Mental Health

It’s Maternal Mental Health Awareness week (4th – 10th May), and this might be the most important time in our generation’s history to stop and think about looking after your mental health.

We’ve put together some of the most useful and easy-to-achieve tips for maintaining your wellbeing during this time of national uncertainty. If you feel you’re struggling please do speak to a health professional – they are still here to support you and give you any help you need. There are also some support numbers below.

More than 1 in 10 women will suffer from mental ill-health during their pregnancy or up to a year after birth, and there are ways to help yourself and get support.

Support

If you’re struggling, please do speak to your maternity team, GP, or a health professional – they are still here to support you.
