Conquer the Virgin London Marathon in aid of Baby Lifeline
When: Sunday, 23rd April 2017
The Virgin London Marathon is a world famous event raising millions for charities around the world – it pushes you to the very edge of your physical limit but provides vital funds for charities like us.
We do not receive any government funding or grants and rely solely upon donations and fundraising in order to continue our important work – buying vital maternity equipment and developing training programmes to improve the medical care of mothers and newborn babies. We have raised over £9 million over the years to help maternity and special care units; however, it still remains that 15 babies die every day in the UK. Every year between 500-800 babies die or are severely brain injured due to something going wrong during labour.
Funds raised through Baby Lifeline are used to combat this sad statistic and it is with the help of people like you that we will improve this number.
