You, Me & Him Jersey screening in aid of the Baby Bean Appeal

Stars walk the red carpet to raise funds for a 7th fetal monitor for Jersey Hospital

On Sunday 1st July stars including Baby Lifeline Ambassadors David Tennant, Sally Phillips, Daisy Aitkens and BBC’s Nick Owen, attended a special screening of You, Me & Him to raise funds for the Baby Bean Appeal to purchase a 7th wireless fetal monitor for Jersey General Hospital. Other stars walking the red carpet were Christian Brassington, Georgia Tennant, Bev Bevan and Tessie Orange-Turner who were all there to support and raise money for this joint appeal with Jersey charity Philip’s Footprints.

After arriving for the screening at Cineworld Jersey on Le Petit Train, the stars spent time with fans on the red carpet taking selfies and signing autographs and gave interviews to the press. Before the screening, Philip’s Footprints Founder Jo Nash and Baby Lifeline Founder Judy Ledger spoke to the audience of the sold out event about their respective charities and the Baby Bean Appeal. BBC presenter Charlie McArdle then introduced the film’s cast, producers and writer/director to the stage and held a Q&A before they all joined the audience for a group photo showing off their Jersey Baby Bean Appeal wristbands!

Judy said, “‘We are delighted with the turn out for the event. Over 280 people attended the screening and the money raised will be put together with funds raised by Philip’s Footprints to purchase a seventh wireless digital fetal monitor for the Jersey General Hospital.”

Jo said, “This celebrity screening was a rare and exciting event for Jersey and so well supported by Islanders. We are over the moon with the result and delighted to have the opportunity to once again work with Baby Lifeline for the benefit of Jersey mums and babies.”
