Third Bilirubinometer for South Warwickshire NHS Trust

Third Bilirubinometer for South Warwickshire NHS Trust

croppednew-labelWarwick Hospital has recently been in receipt of a third bilirubinometer donated through Baby Lifeline using funds kindly donated from the Kenilworth Round Table. A bilirubinometer is used primarily to detect jaundice in babies and this third monitor will be used by the hospitals’ Community Midwives.

Kenilworth Round Table Chairman Martin Turner said, “Upon visiting Warwick hospital with Baby Lifeline in February to present our original donation of two monitors, it became clear that a third monitor was much needed and would be invaluable to the hospital.

Kenilworth Round Table immediately met and unanimously voted to fund the additional third monitor which we know will be put to good use.

Our continued relationship with Baby Lifeline and our support of Warwick Hospital is a vital part of helping our local community with the funds that we raise locally by holding our annual Bonfire and Fireworks event at Kenilworth Castle.”

Thank you to Kenilworth Round Table for your generosity and continued support. Baby Lifeline CEO Judy Ledger said, “We are delighted that Kenilworth Round Table again so generously supported our local appeal for South Warwickshire Maternity hospital equipment, by providing funds for a third bilirubinometer. Baby Lifeline ensures that locally raised funds are spent locally. The three monitors in total funded by Kenilworth Round Table will support vital care for new born babies in the area. Thank you so much.”

The Baby Lifeline Monitoring for Mums appeal has had equipment wish lists submitted from maternity and neonatal units nationwide totalling £5million so far! To find out what your local unit needs, and to donate, click here.
