London Marathon 2018 – Richard Barrett-Constantinou
Although not known for his love of long-distance running Richard is taking part in this year’s marathon with his Dad Bun to raise funds for Baby Lifeline.
Richard, who runs local pub, The Square Warwick, ran the Wawick half marathon earlier this month as part of his training and has hinted that he may be running the marathon in costume! “Please support me in this and in return you may get to see me run this event in an outrageously hilarious yet appropriate costume.”
The fundraising is going well too! Back in November one of the Square’s suppliers donated two very special advent calendars, one filled with gin and the other with whisky – these were used as prizes for an amazing Christmas raffle and raised £300 towards Richard’s target!
At Easter The Square served up toasted hot cross buns for a charitable donation of £1 each and just this week we dropped in some of our new charity wristbands and pram badges so if you are in the area pop in and get yours!
You can also help Richard reach his target by donating online via his Just Giving page here. (NB Offline donations have not been added to the total yet.)
Richard’s friend Richard Walker is also running for Baby Lifeline! “On the 22nd April, I will be attempting to complete the 2018 London Marathon; starting the 26.2 mile course alongside Richard Barrett-Constantinou and Bun Constantinou. My overall aim for this incredible challenge being a sub-four hour marathon.” Visit Richard’s Virgin Money Giving page to show your support!
