On Thursday 24th March 2016 we officially opened our new offices with a ceremony conducted by television’s Nick Owen and our very own Judy Ledger. Almost 60 guests were welcomed to our new home in Balsall Common with Easter chocolates, nibbles, and refreshments.
We may have been in our office for a little while now, but it’s been a busy couple of years! We invited one of our longest serving supporters Nick Owen from BBC’s Midlands Today and TV-am to say a few words and cut the ribbon, as he did 30 years ago at our first office opening. The gathering was made up of supporters, corporate sponsors, patrons, local businesses, fundraisers, our miracle babies, faculty, and neighbours.
We were so delighted to share this special occasion with so many of the people that help us achieve our goals, and it goes to show what a strong community the Baby Lifeline cause has built over our 35 years in existence.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the prize draw winners were announced. The impressive array of prizes meant that we had sold more than 1,300 tickets; prizes included £500 Voucher from Sylvester the Jewellers in Kenilworth, various prizes from Oakes Farm and Wine Poole to name just a couple.
We would like to thank Sylvester the Jeweller in Kenilworth, Oakes Farm Café, Leamington Therapy Centre, The Brickmakers Arms in Berkswell, Café Tamarinds, La Delicia, Hair at Two Ten, Undies Unlimited, Greggs, Angela Jayne Florist, Wine Poole, Lisa Devine, and Tom and Maureen Moss for their generous contributions to the prize draw.
