Health Education England improving safety
Health Education England has announced that they are joining the campaign to halve stillbirths and neonatal deaths by 2050. They will be investing in the training of maternity healthcare professionals with a shorter term goal of a 20% reduction by 2020. As part of this investment they will be distributing £8 million across the country, with the goal of making England’s maternity services the safest in the world.
Baby Lifeline Training is proud to announce that we have been quite heavily included in the catalogue for maternity training, joining a select few recommended providers.
So far, we have been asked to provide training across the country for 2000 healthcare professionals; including midwives, obstetricians, and anaesthetists. This will be in a variety of training topics, which are listed below.
- CTG Masterclass
- Advanced CTG Masterclass
- Developing Human Factors Skills
- Maternal Critical Care
- Childbirth Emergencies in the Community
- Resilience Training for Maternity Healthcare Professionals
We have also been asked to provide training in our other highly evaluated courses:
- Examination of the Newborn.
- Predict to Prevent: Effective Care of Mothers and Babies at Risk of Preterm Birth, Fetal Growth Restriction, and Stillbirth.
This initiative is in line with our own Monitoring for Mums Appeal to provide equipment and training wish-lists to maternity units across the UK, in order to reduce unnecessary birth injury, stillbirth, and neonatal deaths.
If you have been awarded money and would like to join an existing Baby Lifeline course, or commission your own, please do get in touch with us via email or call us on 01676 534671.
