Baby Lifeline would like to extended a heartfelt thanks to Loren Archer and all who participated in the Mytholmroyd to Manchester challenge for charity.
On 1st August Loren Archer organised for her and several other participants to travel an extraordinary 28 miles south from the small town of Mytholmroyd to the city of Manchester. Through their travels they passed through the lush Yorkshire countryside, along the Rochdale Canal to the very heart of metropolitan England.
She had overwhelming support from backers, receiving 30 donations and more than doubling her target of £250. Altogether they have raised an outstanding £685 through JustGiving to go towards funding vital equipment and training that we provide to healthcare professionals around the UK. Her progress can be viewed on her official JustGiving page for the event: https://www.justgiving.com/Loren-Archer/
She also set up a facebook page for the challenge which includes pictures from the day that can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/457149071110983/
We asked for a quote from Loren about why she chose to represent Baby Lifeline:
“I chose Baby Lifeline as I was coming to the end of my midwifery degree so I was very keen on raising funds for a charity close to midwifery that provides the best resources, offering optimum care to the neonate, along with providing health professional’s essential training and skills to give the best chance to many babies in need. It was a pleasure to do the walk for such a charitable cause.”
We rely on the support of generous heroes like Loren. If you’d like to become a fundraising hero, please get in contact with us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
