London Marathon 2018 – Bun Constantinou
At 62 year’s old Bun decided to take on the London Marathon to raise funds for Baby Lifeline after a chat with his competitive son Richard, (more on Richard in our next blog!)
“I cannot believe that I am actually doing the London Marathon. A moment of weakness while talking to my son Richard and before you know it we are in the London Marathon raising funds for BABY LIFELINE.”
Bun, who runs the Ye Olde Rose & Crown Theatre Pub in Walthamstow has been training hard since signing up for the challenge and has been organising fundraising activities to encourage donations from his loyal patrons. A recent auction of a signed West Ham football shirt raised £220! From flipping pancakes on Shrove Tuesday to hosting a quiz night with fabulous raffle prizes donated by suppliers, Bun has been pulling out all the stops to reach his fundraising target of £2,000.
On top of all this, 10p from every pint of Fosters sold until Bun finishes the marathon on Sunday 22nd April will go towards his fundraising total, so if you are in the area why not pop in and show your support!
