Crest Nicholson Gala Dinner for Baby Lifeline raises over £69k!

The Gala dinner, sponsored by Crest Nicholson Homes Midlands, was held on Thursday 27th June at the Birmingham Town Hall.

Nick Owen – Master of Ceremonies and Baby Lifeline Patron, hosted the evening attended by 300 guests from celebrity, national house building, property development, the legal worlds and more!

Guest auctioneer, from Clive Emson land and property auctioneers and TV’s Homes Under the Hammer Graham Barton, expertly conducted the auction for amazing lots from signed sporting memorabilia to a watercolour painted by Dame Judi Dench and a fantastic hospitality package at Ascot! Special guests, Poldark actor, Christian Brassington and Worcester Warriors Rugby star, Nick Baxter joined Graham on stage to help bids to escalate! Equipment including two Cardiac Services hand held fetal dopplers and Seca baby scales were auctioned, and, thanks to William Crooks from Cawarden Co Ltd – these will go to Derby’s Maternity Hospital.

Generous bids also came in to provide 6 Community midwives’ home delivery bags for Walsall Hospital, from guests Jane Beebe, Nick Baxter, Now Careers and M Lambe Ltd.

Actor, comedian and writer, Hugh Dennis, (Fleabag, Outnumbered, Have I Got News For You) entertained the crowd with a brilliant comedy set. Hugh brought everyone together with his analogy of the audience as pet owners which made some of our guests realise their similarities with those around them – and turned others slightly pink!

Baby Lifeline would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to our extremely generous sponsors, Crest Nicholson Midlands, St Philips Homes and SHS Products, and to all who donated prizes to the Luxury Draw and Auction. Thanks also go to the volunteers who helped the evening to run smoothly and of course to our guests for your continued support.
